Whether you have been to counselling before or this is your first time, know that you are welcome here. I understand that beginning this journey might be intimidating and that you may be feeling vulnerable. Without knowing you (yet), I can already say that I am proud of you for showing up for yourself.

My goal as a therapist is to provide you with a safe space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and experiences at your pace, without judgment. I hope to cultivate the conditions for you to fully explore your inner world and grow through any difficulties that you are facing.

I work with people who would like support in navigating life's many challenges. You might feel stuck, or overwhelmed with the complexity of life. You might be navigating difficult relationships with others, or you might be looking to build a more loving relationship with yourself. Some challenges I commonly work with include:

  • Disconnection from oneself
  • Difficulty in tending to your inner emotional experience
  • Challenges in family or intimate relationships
  • Navigating big life changes and transitions
  • Being stuck in your head (ie. racing, intrusive, or difficult thoughts)
  • Desire to take control of your life
  • Interest in changing behaviours that may not be serving you
  • Processing past events and how they might impact your life today
  • Feeling lost, stuck, or experiencing a lack of fulfillment in life
  • Intense and powerful inner critics
  • Difficulty identifying and/or communicating your needs with others

While challenges in life are inevitable, so too are change and growth.

Whether the challenges you are faced with feel big or small, old or new, simple or complicated, I am here to listen and meet you where you are. I work with people of all backgrounds and identities, bringing a compassionate, curious, authentic, anti-oppressive, and client-centered approach to the counselling relationship.

My theoretical approach blends a number of modalities to meet your unique needs and goals, empowering you as the expert of your own life. Some of the theories that most inform my work include Internal Family Systems, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness and Somatic Therapy. My therapeutic approach is grounded and practical, helping you to tackle whatever challenges life throws your way and to find a path forward.
